Mixed Berry Crumble with Super Berry Jam

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C/ 180°C fan.

  • Add the frozen berries to a non-stick saucepan with half the sugar and jam and place on a medium heat.

  • Cook for about 4 - 5 minutes until the berries are soft. Remove from the heat and allow to cool for 1 - 2 minutes. Stir through the lemon zest.

  • Meanwhile, cube the butter and place in a mixing bowl with the flour. Rub together with your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs or use food processor and pulse, then stir in the cinnamon, almonds and remaining sugar.

  • Transfer the berry mixture to a 23cm oven proof baking dish and sprinkle over the crumble topping.

  • Bake in the oven for 30 - 40 minutes, or until golden and crunchy. Delicious served warm with custard, vanilla ice cream or yoghurt.
