Mushroom Pizza with Spicy Tomato & Caramelised Onion Sauce
50g sliced mozzarella
Handful of sliced mushrooms, King Oyster and British Shitake
1 tbsp tarragon, chopped
1 tsp truffle oil
250g pizza dough
Preheat your pizza oven to 375˚C or a conventional fan oven to 220˚C. Roll out your pizza dough to a 10 inch base and pour on two generous tablespoons of Spicy Tomato & Caramelised Onion Table Sauce. Spread out to the edges of your dough with the base of a spoon.
Top with sliced mushroom tossed in tarragon and dot slices of mozzarella cheese in the gaps. Drizzle the mushrooms with truffle oil before baking.
Turn your pizza every 30 seconds whilst baking if using a wood fired pizza oven. Cook for 2-3 mins or 10 mins in a domestic oven. Serve with extra Spicy Tomato & Caramelised Onion Table Sauce on the side for dipping the crust.
